What kind of beverage would one serve for a French meal?
Spilk asked:
For my French class we have to present an aspect of French culture. All of the students have decided to present it on French cuisine (since there are only four of us in the class) and each of us is bringing a different part of the meal.

I am bringing the beverage, and since this is school related, brining wine is out of the question. I was considering bringing “Limonade” some brand of French Lemonade… but I was curious as to what alternative beverages a French family might serve with dinner besides wine and water.

Try this…Get some plastic wine flutes from the party section. St. Julian’s winery produces a non-alcoholic pure juice with carbonation in a wine bottle. It’s excellent and better than soda! Yes, the French drink soda too…can you believe they actually have Coke AND Pepsi.

The French drink alot of Cider but I think you’ve got it right, they drink Limonade more commonly. I’d go with the Limonade.

The other two posters are spot on. Diablo Menthe is a mint flavoured soft drink that is the sort of thing that French kids drink but is rare anywhere else. Orangina is also one of the most popular drinks.
