However if the cooking is indeed without elements of French cooking that sounds very silly! I myself don't much like the French, but have to admit that their cooking is superb, while that of Germany would rival the English for last place in Europe! If they prefer German cooking do they also drive French cars, take English lovers, vote for Italian politicians, build Russian freeways and use Mexican taxis?
