Fairy Cakes: Need a french twist?

Im making fairy cakes but i have to make them have a slight french twist to them e.g an ingredient that is popular amongst the french cuisine .

  1. Add a french liqueur such as Grand Marnier or Chambord

  2. Melt the butter or add some citrus zest, lemon or ornage, even bake them in madeline molds or mini cupckae/flan pans.

  3. Here are a few liquors that would add a wonderful punch.
    Frangelico Hazelnut Liqueur
    Napoleon Mandarine Brandy Liqueur
    Peter Heering Cherry Brandy Liqueur
    Nugat Chocolate Nugat Liqueur
